We arrived at the entrance to the Venice harbor at sunrise 0732 and we were ready on the balcony to see the sunrise and to watch as we cruised into the city off Venice down the large canal. Gosh it is a beautiful site. We had clear skies and full sunlight with temperatures in the low 60s.
After docking we took a tour of the lace shops on the island of Burano and the glass shops of Murano. The boat ride around Venice was spectacular and the islands were filled with shops. Not enough time to spend money andd see them all but it was fun to look! 
We headed back to the ship for diner tonight on the ship overlooking the city. We will be in a restaurant on the 18th deck which is higher than any place in town. Another great day on the Ruby Princess.
